Benna: Privacy Policy

1. Our Privacy Promise

At Benna, we believe your running journey is personal—and so is your data. Every step, every heartbeat, every milestone you track with Benna remains entirely yours, stored locally on your device with no cloud sync, no data sharing, and no third-party access. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information (or rather, how we don't handle it) and your rights regarding the data captured by Benna, where your runs become art and your privacy is our highest priority.

2. No Data Collection or Transmission

Benna is designed to operate entirely offline, with zero data collection, transmission, or storage outside of your personal device. Unlike other fitness apps, we do not collect, process, or store any of your personal information, including:

• Personal identifiers (name, email, phone number, account information)
• Running data (distance, pace, heart rate, duration, routes, or location)
• Device information (IP address, device ID, operating system, or hardware details)
• Usage data (app interactions, session times, or feature usage)
• Analytics or tracking data of any kind

When you use Benna's purple-hued charts, glass-morphic cards, and gradient visualizations to track your progress, all calculations and visualizations happen locally on your device. No data is ever sent to our servers, cloud storage, or any third-party services.

3. Local Data Storage & Your Control

All data generated through your use of Benna is stored exclusively on your mobile device's local storage. You have complete control over this data at all times:

• You may view, edit, or delete your running data at any time through the App's interface
• You may export your data to other formats (CSV, JSON, image) for personal use
• Uninstalling Benna will remove all locally stored data (unless you export it first)
• You may back up your data to your personal cloud storage (e.g., iCloud, Google Drive) at your discretion
• We cannot access, retrieve, or restore your data if you lose or delete it

Your fitness galaxy—trends, goals, weekly reports, and monthly milestones—exists only on your device, governed by your rules and your privacy preferences.

4. No Third-Party Sharing or Access

We do not share, sell, rent, or otherwise disclose any of your data to third parties, including advertisers, analytics providers, fitness companies, or data brokers. Since we never collect your data in the first place, there is nothing to share or sell. Benna's smart insights, progress charts, and performance analytics are generated locally, with no external parties involved in processing or analyzing your information.

5. Permissions & Device Access

Benna may request limited permissions on your device to enable core functionality, but only to access data necessary for running tracking and only while the App is in use:

• Location Services: To track running routes and distance (optional, can be disabled)
• Health/Fitness Data: To access heart rate and other fitness metrics (optional)
• Storage: To save your running data locally on your device

All permissions are optional, and you may revoke them at any time through your device's settings. Revoking permissions may limit certain features but will not affect your existing locally stored data.

6. Children's Privacy

Benna is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. Since we collect no data of any kind, we do not knowingly process information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child under 13 has used Benna, please note that no data was collected or stored outside of their device, and you may delete all associated data by uninstalling the App.

7. Your Privacy Rights

Under applicable privacy laws (including GDPR, CCPA, and others), you have the right to:

• Access your data (all stored locally on your device)
• Correct or modify your data at any time
• Delete your data (through the App or by uninstalling)
• Export your data in machine-readable formats
• Opt out of all data collection (Benna is designed for complete opt-out by default)

Since all data is local, you do not need to contact us to exercise these rights—you have direct control through your device and the Benna App interface.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in the App or applicable privacy laws. Any updates will be posted within the App, and your continued use of Benna constitutes acceptance of the revised policy. We commit to never changing our core privacy promise: Benna will always keep your data local, private, and under your control.
